Quick Cat Adjuster Page

The Proof of Loss that Costs You Money!

8/6/2013

One of the most rewarding aspects of working claims for Quick Cat is the fact that so many of our assignments are full adjustment. This means agreements and settlements are up to you (in collaboration with the desk adjuster). However, many adjusters lose money when it comes time to take the proof of loss by missing one key step...leaving the file open.
Keeping the file open will allow you to bill for all of your efforts in contacting the insured, discussing the POL, submitting it to them and delivering the signed proof to the DA. Many adjusters receive permission to close a file and then are asked later to take the proof, without requesting the file be re-opened!
Bottom Line: make sure any file you are obtaining a proof on remains open so we can capture your time, keep up our diary promises and get you paid!
